Accountability is critical and can happen at the same time as supporting Big Tech's role in national security, which is your point. The USG needs to self analyze how it is approaching industry, particularly from a messaging and public affairs perspective. We are getting to a point where these partners are going to need to pick a flag. Cries of patriotism might not suffice and so bludgeoning them with financial tools is not likely to add to incentives.
